[Updated] Structures at the Sorsogon Capitol Compound

This is the Provincial Accountant’s Office, just a stone throw away from the Provincial Capitol Building.

Sorsogon Provincial Gymnasium is a favorite place for basketball tournaments, graduation rites and beauty contests. Back in the early 90s, it even hosts to an Andrew E. concert. This structure is renovated when the original one (that looks like an ordinary warehouse) is damaged by a typhoon. circa Dec’2009

Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Probinsya ng Sorsogon.

This is PIA’s building as of November of 2010 inside the Sorsogon Capitol Compund. Originally, this institution is located along Rizal Street beside Mike and Gerry’s Restaurant, just in front of the former Maya Cinema.

Girls Scout of the Philippines, Sorsogon chapter, is located inside the Sorsogon Capitol Compound. The author can still remember visiting her Aunt back in the 80s.

Provincial Agricultural Office beside the Digitel building. This building is just one house away from Burgos St. (Burabod Taas).

The Digitel Building is located in the Provincial Capitol Compound, just beside the Provincial Agricultural office.

The Sorsogon Provincial Jail is located just behind the Provincial Capitol. Both were built during the American Occupation.

Kiosko is located in the Prov’l Capitol Compound, just beside the PNB building.

Flooded court – a pit fall of an outdoor tennis court. This is a normal sight during rainy season. However, it’s impressive that the local tennis club, housed in a 2-court facility inside the capitol compound, is able to maintain its shell court.
