I was supposed to leave today for Manila with my eldest but cancelled it because our youngest has on/off fever. The good news is, she doesn’t have Dengue; we had her tested last night at SorDoc. It’s alaming when she stIll has fever on the 3rd day because Brgy. Bibincahan has the most dengue incidents in the city from what i heard through the grapevine.

Sordoc is one of the oldest private hospital in the city, I think next to PePau. It’s currently located at Brgy. Pangpang

I met my godfather today, who is also a parent of my kababata. The conversation started with kumustahan and eventually ended up regarding the changes in the city. Apparently, I am not the only one who noticed how fast the changes are happening. And he comes more often to Sorsogon (he’s now based in Pampanga), though doesn’t stay long, he noticed it as well.

Reflecting on this conversation, I am wondering if the city will become another Manila – overpopulated with no proper infrastructure support. I hope not.

Mayad man ini na St. Peter Chapels, malinis an kwarto nan may turugan saka electric fan.

I need to have the pink bike’s shifters upgraded for my daughter, while the Trinx needs some tune up.

Ako man napahingayad ko na an bisikleta san manghud ko para magamit man san batit ko pag yadi. Didi ako sa Brgy. Tugos nagpa-upgrade nan nag pa-tune up; mga haling Masbate sinda an mga duwang bulan pa lang bukas. Mayad an mga dara ninda na brands – may Cole, Pinewood (including a full suspension model), Trinx. Tugos man.

Zenco Footstep (c2011) surviving the ever changing market landscape of Sorsogon.

My daughter joined me on the errands, including going to the bank, plasa, and Zenco Footstep. On the last one, we were planning to buy my bunso a pair of shoes so that she can use her walker in the garage. However, we found the right size in plasa, PHP60 lang!

I did buy a pair (wrong size) earlier and had a chat with the cashier. She told me that nowadays, the branches are franchises. They still have Kaypee (no more basketball shoes though) and Islander is well displayed inside the store. I am glad that such store is still surviving the competitive world of retail.

Namatay siya barely a month after an mother-in-law ko namatay man. Pareho harani sa akun an duwa. Duwang beses kami nag uli dahil san sadi.

St. Peter Chapels along AH26, Brgy. Tugos.

The next week, nareproduce niya an gambas sa lana, nan damo na bawang!

Si Papa naman, parauma siya, mainly copra. An isturyahan namun an mga tawo sa bulod, kultura, pag uugali nan buhay buhay. An isturya niya, applicable man gihapun an leadership framework, iba lang an detalye.

Batit pa ako, kilala ko na sinda. San high school, pagkakahapon na sabado o domingo or both, nagkakadto ako sa inda para makimeryenda nan makibasa komiks! Nakiisturyahan ako sa inda when there was a chance.

Worse, an tiyaun ko man namatayan dahil sa dengue. Dili man namun mabisita kay bawal an magbisita sa duwa na minatay.

1925H 04/28/2019, Cubao, QC

Siyempre, may idadagdag pa ako. An priority ko lately, an pag kuwa sin mga litrato san mga kalsada.

0720H 1/3/2019 Bigg’s, Pili

Bigg’s is a fave stop for my family, either going North or South. We tried its branch in Daraga, but it seems the taste of the food (same menu) is quite different.

This time dropping by Bigg’s is bittersweet because we were not supposed to pass by Pili/Nabua proper due to flooding in the latter. We passed by the western side of Bula taking the provincial road. Our plan hit a wall when the concrete road ended up somewhere in the mountain and it was still dark, around 515am. So we turned back and tried the Bula route to AH26, hoping it’s not flooded (we could see the flooded Bula from the mountain). It is! Local folks were encouraging us to take the risk claiming vans were successful in crossing the flood waters. I didn’t take it instead tried my luck in Nabua hoping the flood level is lower. It is, but only the portion that we passed by. Otherwise the AH26 portion is still flooded and passable only to heavy vehicles. Thus we were just happy that we’re safe and we will have a hearty meal at Bigg’s.
