The old Sorsogon Town Hall circa 2007. It hasn't changed much since the 40's. Though, there's the BFP station on the left. It has been there since I grew up in the old town.

I agree wholeheartedly with the two commentators above. We have no sense of history at all. all the lovely old buildings have been demolished to make way for ugly cement box square structures that are cold and have no soul in them. They should have kept this Sorsogon Town Hall the way it is and renovated and refurbished it but kept the architecture intact. Somebody again does not have any sense of our cultural heritage and Sorsogon has become a very ugly and messy and dirty city. One will be hard put to find anything charming in the town proper. Thank you that we have kept the public hospital intact and turned it into a museum. Who was the nincompoop who did not even ask the opinion of the people they serve if they want to keep the town hall the way it is or not? Let us hope they keep the post office intact and not have someone with no sense tear it down to replace it with just any cold box of concrete. Just like our cathedral – why did they not keep the church the way it looked? Who ever thought of turning it into a copy of the US Capitol? The dome has turned into a very dirty dome and it can never remain pristine white because of the pollution in our streets. Bad move and I prefer the very old St Peter and Paul Cathedral as it had a lot of character most especially because Chow King and all the rest of those merchants are not blocking the view of the beautiful cathedral as it once was. This is a sad day again for me,.
