Pinaculan: Island No More

Pinaculan Island is an island during the high tide, and part of the Sorsogon mainland during low tide via a land bridge on the coast of Brgy. Talisay – this is according to the residents near the island. The plan is developed it as part of the 20-hectare Sorsogon Business and Leisure Park. (Unfortunately, the internet source – http://www.sorsogontourism.com/business_opportunities.htm – is not there anymore).

With the seawall connecting the Rempeolas and Pinaculan simply negates the latter’s category as an island.

If it’s any consolation, it’s easier and cheaper to visit the former island than renting a banca.
