Beware of Parked Cars Along Maharlika Highway

Summer is fast approaching. For those who are planning to drive south, be careful when taking the Maharlika Highway, especially between Alaminos and Tiaong. This highway section has inconsistent 2-lane highway that suddenly turns into a single lane. Depending if there’s a car parked along the outer lane or a tree that cannot be cut during the highway’s expansion. Some of the drivers who park along the highway would select the unsafest place – just around the corner where a fast approaching vehicle cannot see them!

Here are some pictures taken by the author on his way to Sorsogon.

For first time travelers going south, beware of the parked cars along Maharlika Highway. This car, obviously, won't be leaving anytime soon.

Drive safely!
