Drug pusher nabbed in Sorsogon

MANILA, Philippines – A drug pusher was arrested by officials of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Sorsogon, authorities said.

The suspect was identified by PDEA Director General Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez, Jr. as 39-year-old Lemuel Gayoso alias “Limpot”.

Gayoso was arrested in Sorsogon through an entrapment operation conducted by PDEA and local police.

Authorities recovered 4 plastic sachets of “shabu” and the P1,000 peso bill used as buy-bust money from Gayoso.

He is currently detained at PDEA Regional Office 5 awaiting inquest proceedings for selling ang possession of illegal drugs, which are in violation of Sections 5 and 11 Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

According to PDEA’s records, 2 drug charges have been previously filed against Gayoso before the Regional Trial Courts Makati and Manila. However, he was allowed by the Makati court to post bail and was granted probation by the Manila court.
