Tolonggapo Beach – Boanerges Hideaway

Tologgapo Beach is a famous spot for the locales anytime of the year.

Tolonggapo Beach is always a popular place to be during summer. It’s just a short hop from the (Sorsogon) city proper, and it offers several places to stay. Nowadays, there’s a lot of resorts to choose from when in the area. Most of them offer rooms for overnight stay. One or two are pricey – one is a hotel catering for European visitors and another one offers cottages. The rest are almost on the same price level.

One of the places that I like to stay is in the Boanerges Hideaway. It’s located at Brgy. Caricaran, Bacon District, along the road to Prieto Diaz.

It’s a gated resort, thus, discourages lurkers or passerby. It’s a small place that limits the number of guests around – you feel some exclusivity. There are around less than 10 cottages to choose from, from a small, cute one (for 4-6 guests) to a big one that can house

more than 15 guests. Although the place is not big, but it’s small enough for the kids to go around and it’s safer because the parents can easily monitor them.

On one occasion, a guest rented half of the place for a baptismal reception. You can also rent the whole place for specific reasons – one time, there’s a school reunion and a stage was built at the center. For those who want to stay overnight, there are 4 air-conditioned rooms available. Just be sure to reserve one, especially summer time.

These are the 2 air-conditioned rooms.

You can also rent a videoke machine from the owner to make your stay exciting. Barbeque grill is also available. And if you forget some ingredients or extra beverages, there are mini-stores nearby. Parking is also available for 4 to 7 cars.

The place is manned by more than a couple of stay-in personnel to assist the guests.
