Bicol Intercholastic Athletic Association, c. 1914

Before BRAA, We Have The Bicol Intercholastic Athletic Association.

BRAA stands for Bicol Regional Athletic Association. Most of the schools who joined this came from government schools. For a couple of years, I remember Colegio de la Milagrosa and Aemilianum College did join this for sometime; but I only remember the latter for sending a couple of volleyball players (first time the author saw somebody playing what we call, Chinese Toss) to Bicol Meet.

According to a 1914 report, Albay, Sorsogon, and Camarines were part of this. There’s a footnote about Albay’s situation stating that it’s in poor condition.
